We provide specialist cancer and blood services across South and Mid Wales through Velindre Cancer Centre (external link) and the Welsh Blood Service (external link). Information on developing cancer services for South East Wales Velindre University NHS Trust, which is responsible for Velindre Cancer Centre, has been asked by Welsh Government to develop bold and exciting plans for patient centred cancer services in south east Wales. The Transforming Cancer Services Programme has been set up to complete that work. We are planning a new cancer centre for Cardiff, and improved cancer services for the communities of south east Wales.
